BestBuddAI is a protected AI learning app for kids. It adds age, safety, and learning rules before answers appear. Children get hints, step-by-step help, and memory tricks instead of shortcut answers.
Does BestBuddAI replace teachers or parents?
No. BestBuddAI is meant to support learning, not replace adults. Parents and teachers set the rules, and the app is designed to encourage thinking, not provide instant answers.
Can a child use it without a grown-up?
A grown-up should handle first-time setup and can set rules like time limits, safe topics, and no-direct-answer mode. After setup, children can use the app independently within those rules.
What if live AI is unavailable?
BestBuddAI can fall back to a built-in local tutor so the child still gets a safe learning response, even without an internet connection.
Does my child need a grown-up to send a question to live AI?
Yes. During the one-time adult setup, a grown-up must tick the "Allow live AI answers from xAI Grok" toggle. Setup also requires a guardian email, a 4-digit grown-up PIN, and a confirmation that the person setting things up is an adult. With the toggle off, every question stays on the built-in local tutor and never leaves the device. A grown-up can revoke consent any time from the PIN-protected parent dashboard.
